Let's face it- There is absolutely no excuse for not putting your plants in decorative pots or baskets or really whatever you have lying around the house. Get creative- Plants don't care as long as you take the time to care for them. But if you want them to look good in your home, you might want to consider these as an alternative means to decorating your home with plants.
I LOVE a good basket. Whether it's a seagrass or even a regular wicker basket for a local thrifts store, baskets make great coverup for those unattractive plant nursery pots.
Decorative fabric is also a great way to hide and cover up a plant pot. This is an small vintage fabric clothes pin holder and I just put a plant inside- Simple. Any type of fabric will do and you can tie it up with a piece of raffia if you so choose.
A coffee cup you say? Of course! Simply fill a coffee cup( They have tons of them at the thrift store, by the way!) and add your favorite plant. Drill a hole or if you're not feeling that adventurous, add some rock to the bottom of the cup before adding the soil to regulate drainage.
Lastly, if you have an outdoor space but want to have your plants arranged in a special way, you can always be on the lookout for plant holders like this. This plant holder is a perfect and quirky alternative to your regular plant stand and definitely makes a statement!
Let me know what you think! I'd love to hear your feedback!!
Until next time....
