Week 6 of the Jeffrey Court Renovation Challenge

Out of all of the things I have renovated in my home, I can honestly say that this kitchen renovation challenge through Jeffrey Court has been the most rewarding. I said at the start of this renovation that a lot of things were staying the same, but through the power of paint and DIY’s, I was able to create a space that let the tile I chose from Jeffrey Court shine through.

I am NOT your typical renovator. I really try to change up spaces without having to spend a ton of money. With that being said, I’m thankful for Jeffrey Court for supplying all of the tile, Wagner Paint Tech for helping to make painting the cabinets a breeze (once I got the hang of it!), Frog Tape for making my paint job less of a mess and Mitzi Lighting for supplying my gorgeous light fixtures.

Let me remind you of what my kitchen looked like before. Dark cabinets, glass mosaic backsplash and light fixtures that were outdated. This kitchen was lifeless and had no brightness or warmth to it and it was truly a space that was only used to cook food. I NEVER took photos of this space and you can see why.

I love my kitchen! It's so bright and cheery and it’s exactly how I envisioned it. I wanted to create a space where my family can congregate in, feel warm and welcoming and enjoy the fruits of my (and my husband's!) labor. I may not have done as much as most of the finalist have done, but I will say that my use of color was the shining star in this renovation and allowed my choice of tile from Jeffrey Court to stand out! I hope you enjoy my kitchen as much as I do and now I'll just let the photos speak for themselves.

My biggest thanks are to all of YOU who followed along, voted and gave me encouragement to keep going and giving me such wonderful feedback. And of course to my biggest cheerleader, my partner in crime and love of my life Reggie for helping me to create my vision and staying up until 4:00 in the morning to get this tile "just right". MUAH!!!
