Week 2 of the One Room Challenge

I'm really just getting into the swing of this One Room Challenge. This week was focusing on painting a simple trim around the concrete slab in my backyard space. I didn't want it to be too fancy(I'll leave that to all my accessories), but I wanted it to make an impact. Here's the simple way I created this border and with the help of Handy Products, it really made it such an easy task.

Products used-

Behr Solid Concrete Stain in Santa Fe

Handy Products Paint grid and Paint pail with liners

Tape

Rollers brushes

Chalk thread

I simply created a chalk border around my concrete slab so I knew exactly where I needed to place the tape. Once I did that, it was smooth sailing! I used a combination of a roller and paint brush to get in those hard to reach places and to clean up any tape bleeding. Overall, I think it turned out great and I'll also add a smaller, complimentary color next to the one I completed yesterday. Up next- I plan on working on my outdoor dining area to give it a much needed refresh. Thanks again to the One Room Challenge team and Apartment Therapy for all the encouragement and make sure to check out what all of the other guest participants are doing over on the blog.

So until next time,
