The Fall 2025 One Room Challenge is complete! I had a great time making my kitchenette come to life in a new modern and eclectic way. I'm going to always be a fan of color, texture and prints and this mini refresh definitely lives up to my dream. My husband took my vision for a custom banquette seating and created something special just for our home and I couldn't be happier. I'm grateful for the collaborations with Kichler Lighting and Handy Products to help make not only my project seamless, but to add the perfect ambience to the space.

The Before

First off, I have to say that I didn't hate how the kitchenette looked before. My husband made an amazing table and bench and also created the shelving to house some of my favorite treasures. I really just think that it was time for something new. A space more open, bright and better accessible. Adding new lighting, a new rug, artwork, a new table and a chair and the star of the show the banquette (It also has storage!), I was able to to create this space for around $2000. Thanks to the One Room Challenge team and Apartment Therapy for cheering all of the participants on in their journey. Ok, I'm done talking so here are some pictures for your enjoyment.

Until next time,

ree
